The moments of great pressure in your life-speaking in public, interviewing for a big job or the school of your dreams, dealing with health issues, working through difficulties with someone you love, raising a child- are borne out of the inmportance of the situation. It is a privilege to have such opportunities- to be trusted to lead a meeting, to be a desired job candidate, to love someone or be loved, to be a parent- and so the pressure that comes with them must be seen as a privilege also. If you can see it that way, you can handle almost anything with calm and grace.
